Memorial Day Weekend 2026 Powers Major Online Revenue Spikes Across Home, Furniture and Lifestyle Retailers

Memorial Day Weekend 2026 delivered one of the biggest holiday-driven online retail moves of the year, with home and furniture retailers leading the surge. Bed Bath & Beyond, Mattress Firm, Article, Dyson and Ruggable all posted their largest single-day revenue totals in weeks on Monday, May 25, anchored by the heaviest discount cadence of the spring season.

The Memorial Day 2026 playbook this year leaned hard on furniture and mattress categories, with doorbuster expirations, size-upgrade promotions on mattresses, mid-century sofa markdowns and pulling demand into a single Monday. Here’s a closer look at what drove each retailer’s surge.

This report draws on Grips Intelligence’s daily monitoring of domain and SKU-level sales across leading brands, marketplaces, and retailers, providing a data-backed perspective on the latest eCommerce trends.

Bed Bath & Beyond

bedbathandbeyond.com — May 25, 2026

BedBathAndBeyond.com generated approximately $5.48 million on Memorial Day, roughly 60% above its trailing daily baseline and one of the biggest single-day revenue moves on the site since the brand was relaunched under Beyond Inc. The “Beyond Big Memorial Day Sale” pushed up to 70% off across patio furniture, bedding, rugs, decor, kitchen essentials and home appliances, supported by an aggressive email-campaign cadence that began with early-access sends days ahead of the holiday and shifted into “ends tomorrow” urgency over the weekend. The combination of category breadth, deep percent-off positioning and a high-frequency CRM push made BBB one of Memorial Day’s strongest dollar movers in the home and furniture space.

Mattress Firm

mattressfirm.com — May 25, 2026

MattressFirm.com generated approximately $4.31 million on Memorial Day, the retailer’s strongest day of the spring season. The Memorial Day Sale window ran May 21 through June 9 and was anchored by Mattress Firm’s signature size-upgrade offer — a king bed for a queen’s price or a queen for a twin’s price, worth up to $700 in savings — paired with free adjustable bases on select mattresses. Brand-level promos did much of the conversion work: up to $700 off select Purple mattresses plus a $300 instant gift on qualifying adjustable bases, and up to $1,000 off Tempur-Pedic Split King Sleep Systems running through June 2. With every major sleep brand on sale and special financing on purchases of $3,299 or more, Memorial Day Monday became the natural cutoff for high-ticket bedroom purchases.

Article

article.com — May 25, 2026

Article.com generated approximately $2.15 million on Memorial Day. The mid-century-modern furniture brand ran a Memorial Day Savings Event with up to 40% off more than 600 styles, including dozens of sofas and sectionals, and further dropped its clearance section so over 100 products landed at up to 60% off retail. Hero items included all six colorways of the Sven Grounded Tufted Leather Sofa — regularly $2,299 and discounted into the $1,379 to $1,599 range for the weekend. With Article positioning the markdowns as “last chance” inventory that won’t return once it sells out, the urgency framing helped convert Memorial Day Monday’s traffic into the brand’s biggest single-day total of the month.

Dyson

dyson.com — May 25, 2026

Dyson.com posted approximately $2.64 million on May 25, a meaningful move for a premium brand that rarely discounts off MSRP. Dyson positioned its Memorial Day promotion as “the best sale of the year,” with multiple flagship products hitting their lowest prices of 2026. Highlights included the V15s cordless stick vacuum at $400 off its $1,050 MSRP, the V8 cordless at its lowest price of the year with up to $200 off, the Airstrait hair straightener at $100 off (its first markdown since Black Friday 2025), and the Airwrap i.d. at $150 off. The Dyson Spot+Scrub robot vacuum was also discounted as part of the event, broadening the appeal beyond hair tools and floorcare into newer category extensions.

Ruggable

ruggable.com — May 25, 2026

Ruggable.com closed the holiday weekend with approximately $1.19 million in revenue. The site-wide Memorial Day Sale offered up to 25% off washable indoor and outdoor rugs, runners, doormats and bath mats through May 27, with the company spotlighting its designer collaborations — including The Hiltons and Jonathan Adler collections — in editorial placements across Domino, Homes & Gardens and Apartment Therapy. That earned-media push, layered onto the discount, materially expanded reach into the patio and outdoor-rug category that traditionally peaks the week before the unofficial start of summer.
